Is It Possible That DMT “Trips” Connect Us To Other Universes?

DMT, which is easily one of the most powerful psychedelic drugs, could provide a method of access to other planes of existence, according to Rick Strassman’s book DMT: The Spirit Molecule. It could be that these other planes are always there and available, but we just can’t perceive them. Our brains are programmed for normal, not multidimensional perception. That could be why DMT is the key to understanding our universe, and maybe other universes too.

But what if DMT could lead us to other universes? Theoretical physicists think that parallel universes could possibly exist, based on the phenomenon of interference. You can demonstrate this phenomenon by allowing light to pass throw a narrow hole in cardboard. Different rings and colorful edges appear on the screen where the light falls – not just the outline of the cardboard. More complex experiments have been done, and researchers think the existence of a kind of invisible light particle collides with those we can see and this refracts light in ways not previously known. Neat!

So when thinking about this principle, it could be that parallel worlds interact with eachother when this interference happens. Some theoretical hypotheses state that there could be an unimaginably huge number of parallel universes which are similar to our own and subject to the same laws of physics as we are. So can DMT allow us to see, feel, and experience other universes?

According to David Deutsch, a leading theorist in this area and author of the book The Fabric of Reality, it’s doubtful that DMT could open this gateway for us. Strassman notes that DMT is a substance that changes the brain’s physical properties, and quantum computing as it’s called may take place, which could establish contact with other universes.

Pretty wild, huh? It might be that these “trips” are actually a peak into some other plane of existence.
