For years, many caregivers and patients have been using cannabis extracts to directly treat cancer and dramatically reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. Despite the steady increase in remarkable success stories, the mainstream media has generally been reluctant to discuss this. Some rare exceptions exist, such as Dr. Sanjay Gupta discussing Landon Riddle, a pediatric leukemia patient, on CNN.
A popular Huffington Post article about Dr. William Courtney’s success treating a pediatric brain cancer patient. Articles in The Washington Post and Boston Globe have also alluded to the anti-cancer potential of cannabis.

First it was a cough. Then it was bronchitis. Then it was time to say goodbye to Michelle Aldrich.
The year 2011 was supposed to be a good one for the 66-year-old. That June, she and her husband, Michael, were feted with a lifetime achievement award by High Times magazine for their four decades of work on marijuana legalization. Yet something was off. She was smoking a lot, maybe more than ever.
And she [...]
Donald “Donnie” Bumanglag spoke with Reset just months after sipping the psychedelic, sacred, traditional healing brew ayahuasca in the Peruvian Amazon. Unlike many of his fellow participants in the weeklong retreat program, Donnie is a 33-year-old veteran military combat medic and father of four. And, like many veterans, he was on the verge of suicide due to severe PTSD symptoms prior to his visit to the jungle (22 veterans take their own lives in the U.S. each day according to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs).
For years, Donnie’s life felt like a trap he couldn’t escape. He was living with overwhelming financial, personal, spiritual and emotional stress that felt [...]
Eduardo Schenberg, of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, recently published a piece in Sage Journals, detailing his belief that Ayahuasca has cancer-fighting abilities, essentially encouraging the legalization of research in the field.
He says, “There is enough available evidence that Ayahuasca’s active principles, especially DMT and harmine, have positive effects in some cell cultures used to study cancer, and in biochemical processes important in cancer treatment, both in vitro and in vivo,” and “Therefore, the few available reports of people benefiting from Ayahuasca in their cancer treatment experiences should be taken seriously, and the hypothesis presented here, fully [...]
My name is Lindsey, and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer – Sept 2012.
On the 12th August 2011 my life changed forever. I had been to the doctor three times before about experiencing pain in my lower abdomen. He did the usual urine and blood test and announced it was a bladder infection. Weeks of antibiotics later, I was sicker than ever.
That morning I woke with the most excruciating pain I had ever experienced, I could barely walk. Deep inside me, I knew it was something terrible.
My now husband, Brett, took me to another doctor who [...]
Was marijuana the first ever cultivated plant? Did cavemen use this wild growing herb to speed up his language skills? Throughout history, cannabis has been used by healers, religious groups, artists, and agriculturalists to elevate health, mind and spirit. Now science is proving again and again that marijuana has many powerful effects on the human mind and body and should be free for consumption rather than prohibited by corrupt bureaucracies.
More stories are emerging proving the efficacy of cannabis with regards to its ability to treat and cure cancer. For decades, studies have proven that cannabis can treat as well as completely kill cancer cells. Not long ago, a European based pharmaceutical company, GW Pharmaceuticals, started the very first human trials that are using cannabis to treat brain cancer.
Unfortunately, the results from that trial won’t be available for another couple of years, but unofficial human trials are being conducted everyday by cancer sufferers around the world.
Stan and Barb Rutner are part of a continually growing list of people who have used, and are using cannabis to treat and [...]
