DMT

N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT or N,N-DMT) – C12H16N2
N,N-Dimethyltryptamine, or DMT is a commonly occurring chemical found in both plants and animals throughout nature, including the human body. DMT can be consumed orally in an encient brew called Ayahuasca, it acts as the main ingredient in the brew which has otherworldy hallucinogenic effects that can last up to 6 hours. The Ayahuasca brew has been used for religious and spiritual purposes by the indigenous tribes of the Amazon. Learn more about Ayahuasca here.
DMT can also be ingested in crystal form, where it is often smoked in a pipe or bong, as well as vaporized. Taken in this manner, it produces a powerful but short-lasting hallucinogenic state that is considered one of the most intense psychedelic experiences in existence and can last anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes on average.
It can also retain its psychoactive properties in other forms, including Psilocybin, which is the active compound found in magic mushrooms.

HOW DOES IT WORK
Research shows that hallucinogenic drugs, such as DMT, produce psychoactive effects by acting on specific serotonin receptors in the brain. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that impacts the brain. Moreover, it is an important neurotransmitter in terms of mood and mental health.
Specifically, some of the primary effects of a DMT hallucination occur in the prefrontal cortex of the brain—an area involved in mood, cognition, and perception. Moreover, hallucinogens impact regions of the brain that help regulate physiological responses to stress and panic.
In addition, scientists have found some evidence that small amounts are naturally produced in the human brain, specifically in the pineal gland. In fact, researchers have suggested that the release of DMT in the brain may be involved in reports of alien abductions, spontaneous mystical experiences, and near-death experiences. However, this theory remains controversialsource.
DMT DOSAGE
If you are trying DMT for the first time it is important to both check your substance purity and also the dosage you are going to take. Start with a low or even microdose and work your way up once you get your feet wet. Never jump right into a high dose without preparation and prior experience, always have a trip sitter or someone you trust close by.
